OUR STORY

Solar Generation was founded in 2003 as a residential and small commercial installer of solar panels, primarily in the Kingston, NY area. Solar Generation started with two employees and quickly grew over the years and expanded to serve the mid-Hudson Valley region.  

In 2018, we created Solar Generation Projects (SGP) to develop community solar projects in New York as well as Illinois, with a focus in the Ameren territory.

Today, SGP boasts a dedicated project development team that drives the process of site control, design, engineering, and permitting — all with a clear focus on delivering fully “shovel-ready” projects.
